I believe that writing could be one fun activity if done collaboratively online. Peer feedbacks with the help of social networking would enhance fluency in writing thus improve writing skills. However, some would rather write individually and in private. One might argue that this kind of writing is not significant anymore in the era of digital writing but there must be some rationale behind such behaviour. More space perhaps?

Count me out. Anything without visual, just turn me off. The issue here is motivation. Especially a person like me, I need lots of support from community that I think qualified to do so. That community must have some background similarity. We are talking about building self-being. Human nature, we listen to people like us..
You know what, something i notice about nowadays blog, community collaboration through online; I don’t see the important of moderator being stress! Moderator is supposed to moderate the online discussion effectively. For instant- You should give feedback to my first comment!!! I need to know what exactly are we talking about and gain mutual direction.
And.. I’m a visual person. The reason I would like to participate in this blog partly because I’m having problem with writing skills and I’m not good at explaining idea with words. I wish that every book I read have visual as a summarization. So, in that way, I could understand the whole agenda easily.
Talking about visual, people assumed a picture differently from one another. Every individual has their own aesthetic opinions. What seems beautiful to me will not be beautiful to you!. The question here is; how to use the right visual in order to gain similar perception from every individual who sees it. How to avoid different assumption or at least to reduce it??? Guess it is not enough with only visual. Texts must be there to support it just to give some direction to viewer.
For an example, let say a teacher request:
‘I want you to write something about this picture’. By giving only picture without supporting it with texts, it would not be effective as well.
But then again, what is the main agenda? Letting your students to be creative??? Then you don’t have to add any texts to support it BUT if you have intention of directing them into certain goal, I do think you need to give some brief explanation….
NOW I hate this eBlog. Why??
I want to give you a visual example to my explanation earlier BUT there is no option for me to upload the photo examples!!! and I can't even cut and paste the photo in here! ARGGGGG!!! Not user friendly to me..
zac, now you are being emotional. The main thing here is interaction, 'peer' interaction to be precise. Language should be the main aspect to look at. You can always upload visuals on the main page. Feel free to express yourself. (And now I couldn't even find any emoticons to include as to portray my current expression!)
The process of learning has its own complexities; on one hand, it is easy for people who can read words and start imagining things wildly; on the other, for some, they might need to unravel the wordy and winding reading materials through visual. Well, for one I am trying hard to become a good mental photo by remembering things through pictures and surroundings. Although it works to certain extent, I hope to be an associative flexibility of the mind to benefit both from words and visual.
